Seeking High school Sign language interpreters- 24-25

We are seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a full-time position, working one-on-one with elementary school students.

Responsibilities:

• Provide sign language interpretation services to elementary school students in various educational settings, including classrooms, extracurricular activities, and school events.
• Foster effective munication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their peers, teachers, and other school staff members.
• Ensure that students have full access to educational content and participate fully in classroom activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or a minimum score of 4.0 on the Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA).
• Experience working with elementary school students preferred.
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
