Education / Experience / License and Certifications:
- Registered Pharmacist in the State of Wyoming, maintaining a license in good standing.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree.
- ACLS certification preferred.
- BLS certification preferred.
Job Description:
Working under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager and within a cooperative team setting, the staff pharmacist will assume responsibility for assessing, preparing, and distributing both intravenous (IV) and oral medications. This entails adhering to established physical and chemical protocols to fulfill medication requisitions authorized by physicians and other duly qualified prescribers. Key responsibilities enpass:
- Receiving and reviewing medication orders to ensure the appropriateness of doses based on patient's age, weight, and allergies
- Screening for potential drug interactions and documenting interventions
- Reviewing and updating medication reconciliation duties as necessary
- Being accountable for the timely achievement of individual and team metrics as assigned.
- Instructing and supervising Pharmacy Technicians and Interns
