What You'll Do
The Philanthropic Solutions Specialist is responsible for the efficient functioning of our Philanthropic Solutions offerings, which may include administration of various Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects, support and project management of Philanthropic Consulting projects, and stewardship of their affiliated donor/advisor relationships. In addition, the Philanthropic Solutions Specialist provides support where needed with various needs of the Philanthropic Solutions team.
Salary range: $75,000 - $80,000.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects Administration:
  • Provide fulfillment of services for Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects including but not limited to:
  • Maintain routine and ongoing engagement with key relationship contacts for a portfolio of Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects
  • Track and oversee processing of contributions, grants, invoices, and contracts for those Specia Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects
  • Administer grant-related correspondence and paperwork, including grant letters, agreements, wire confirmations and reporting.
  • Project manage key deliverables and deadlines.
  • Interface with other departments, including Legal, Finance, Donor Administration and Grants, regarding Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects

Philanthropic Consulting Projects:
  • Assist with project management for Philanthropic Consulting projects and support internal workflow processes with other departments, including scheduling, proactive agenda-setting and meeting notes, and maintenance of project tracking tools to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Contribute to Philanthropic Consulting prospect meetings, donor onboarding and relationship stewardship.
  • Provide support to the drafting of tailored resource materials in support of donors' philanthropic interests and objectives, including desk research and organization due diligence, drafting outreach to experts and institutional funders and summarizing calls.
  • Support the updating of content on philanthropic trends and issue areas and proactively update Philanthropic Consulting materials and presentations to reflect changes.
  • Fulfill additional duties in support of the Philanthropic Consulting services offerings and the overall client experience, as needed.
Leadership
  • Provide exceptional care and stewardship to our Customized Giving Solutions/ Special Projects, Consulting clients, Premier Donors and other key partner and client relationships.
  • Using a partnership approach, work with teams across the organization and key business stakeholders in support of NPT's mission and service promise to donors.
  • Identify new opportunities and services NPT can provide and work with leadership to determine the marketability of such opportunities and services.
  • Cultivate a culture of integrity, inclusivity, and innovation.

Quality and Process Improvements Responsibilities
  • Hold the highest level of regard for our donors and their charitable gifts/grants.
  • Strive to provide donors with a "best in class" donor experience.
  • Respond to donor needs within 24 hours or less.
  • Suggest methods to improve service to our donors or add efficiencies.
  • Work with management team to document procedures and processes that ensure the effective and efficient utilization of departmental resources, and that support NPT's standards, procedures, and strategic directives.

Provide support to other projects and NPT departments as needed.

What You Bring
  • Undergraduate Degree or equivalent experience required. non-profit sector focus preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
  • Philanthropic and donor experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience handling client concerns and issues with tact and diplomacy. Communication: Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Analytical/Detailed Orientation: Must demonstrate strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize projects.
  • Flexible/Adaptable: Must adapt to rapid change and balance competing priorities.
  • Commitment to Quality: A commitment to quality is key to success in this role. Must have extremely high standards of personal performance.
  • Integrity: Must possess unquestioned personal integrity and reliability, keep commitments, admit mistakes, accept responsibility for all departmental output and results, maintain confidentiality when necessary and appropriate, and act in the best interest of the organization.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to analyze data and produce data reports.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Occasional travel required.
