Director of Purchasing

We are seeking a Director of Purchasing to lead the vision of our purchasing team and provide the expertise to inform, refine, and ensure its success.

Director of Purchasing areas of ownership

• Purchasing processes and system improvements
• Logistics (inbound and outbound freight; and warehouse process management)
• Scoping and implementing purchasing automations and technologies
• Providing leadership to purchasing & Freight teams

Core responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with the company's overall business goals.
• Overseeing the management of supplier relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Managing logistics, including inbound and outbound carrier relationships
• Implementing and optimizing inventory management strategy to accurately project warehousing needs and map out capacity planning.
• Establishing and maintaining minimum/maximum ranges for inventory value on-hand, ensuring we never have too much or too little inventory.
• Supporting sales and marketing teams as they move quickly to ensure that customer needs are met.
• Developing and implementing new technologies to improve supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
• Building and leading high-performing teams.
