Duties and Key Responsibilities
  • Administration, set up, and coordination of all GLHS Patient Accounting systems to effectively allow the impacted department(s) to perform their key processes.
  • Coordinates and assists in end user training for all GLHS Patient Accounting systems.
  • Development of procedures and practices to effectively use the available systems to assist the Patient Accounts Department and GLPP Billing Department to operate efficiently including the development of reference material as necessary.
  • Assists in preparation of reports for monitoring, statistics, productivity, and quality improvement activities.
  • Assists with the data collection for Cost Reports and other miscellaneous audits.
  • Manages multiple priorities ensuring that tasks and critical projects are completed in a timely and mutually agreed upon manner.
  • Understanding interface functionality and transfer of information with key vendors and takes the lead role in the development, testing and implementation of both current and future software interfaces as they relate to Altera Sunrise.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and responds to issues reported on Patient Accounts information systems.
  • Assist the Patient Accounts Manager in the administrative duties of Patient Accounts including overseeing the appropriate allocation and use of resources. Serves as staff backup when necessary.
Requirements
  • Demonstrates leadership ability.
  • Advance computer skills including ability to work in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs are required.
  • Project Management and effective communication skills required.
Education/Certifications
  • Associate degree in business or related field. Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience
  • Previous experience working in a hospital Revenue Cycle preferably five or more years.
