Job Description

1 Resource Group is hiring a PLC & Automation Engineer the ideal candidate will have a strong background in Programmable Logic Controllers and automation systems, with a focus on maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optional functionality of our clients systems.

Responsibilities

•Develop, implement, and maintain PLC-based control systems and automation solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.

•Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics on existing PLC systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime.

•Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and associated equipment.

•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement upgrades or modifications to existing systems to meet evolving business needs.

•Create and update technical documentation, including system specifications, wiring diagrams, and maintenance procedures.

•Provide technical support and training to maintenance technicians and operators regarding PLC systems and automation equipment.

•Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in PLCs and automation to propose innovative solutions for continuous improvement.

Requirements

Education

•Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Automation, or related field.

•Proven experience working with PLCs.

•Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text) and experience with various PLC hardware and software.

•Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing faults in PLC-based control systems and associated components.

•Familiarity with HMI/SCADA systems and their integration with PLCs.

•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

•Prior experience in performing maintenance, upgrades, and modifications to existing automation systems is preferred.

•Relevant certifications or training in PLC programming and automation technologies are advantageous.
