At Autism 360, the Clinic Director (Mentorship BCBA) develops curriculum for mentorship, offers clinical guidance, and promotes team building in their clinics.

This is how they do that:

· Fulfills all responsibilities of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst as needed including providing caseload coverage AND

  • Follow all agency policies, procedures, and processes including those outlined below and all others determined necessary by the CEO and VP of Clinical Operations. The Clinic Director should embody professionalism, warmth, and an open door for families and team members at all times.
  • The CD will be assigned a small group of BCBAs to supervise, mentor, and oversee. The CD will be physically present in assigned treatment locations to continue practicing clinical skills as well as model effective supervision and program modification to clinical team. If assigned BCBAs have Learners in clinic settings, the CD will be physically present M-F between the hours of 8a-5p. If assigned BCBAs have home-based learners, the CD will follow assigned visitation schedule to physically visit each Learner’s home environment in regular intervals. When a mixed caseload is present the VPOC will provide an abridge weekly expectation for the CD's visitation schedule.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with families to further the mission and work of the agency. This includes addressing any parental concerns surrounding ABA goals, staffing, or treatment services. The CD acts as an agency ambassador and liaison when a remote BCBA has been assigned.
  • Ensure weekly conversion of daily notes by area team members by 5pm each Friday to ensure accurate and timely billing can occur.
  • Ensure all staff are enforcing agency and state policies during service delivery and the monitoring of that service delivery by your team members.
  • Ensure accounts are being maintained at 85% utilization or higher. Any account dropping below the minimum threshold will need to be addressed with the VP of Clinical Operations (VPCO) to determine necessary actions to improve service delivery.
  • CD will be responsible for fostering and promoting A360 work ethics and loyalty amongst all team members. Any staffing issues should be addressed with the VP of Recruiting and/or the VP of Clinical Operations when necessary.
  • Provide on-site coaching and training to all technicians working with assigned BCBA caseloads. This includes clarifying ABA techniques, modeling, creating educational handouts, etc. The CD will also relay any technician skill deficits to the assigned BCBA and subsequently collaborate on new strategies to ensure proper implementation of ABA principles.
  • CD attends weekly management meeting to address any agency updates, changes, participate in clinical collaborations, build rapport with lateral team members and create strategies to most effectively supervise their team.
  • Hosts weekly “huddle” (clinical collaboration) meetings with assigned BCBAs to foster support and teamwork between clinical members. During these meetings, CD should address policy changes, agency updates, upcoming events, and agency matters from VPCO as needed and uses the time to serve clinical agenda building relationships and identifying learner needs. CD reports any concerns from these meeting to VPCO.
  • Create and coordinate clinical support curriculum and materials in conjunction with training the BCBAs, students, and R/BTs, using Behavior Skills Training (BST) techniques: discussion, modeling, practice, and feedback.
  • Manage, prepare, and facilitate A360U events in conjunction with the administrative team (COS and others). This includes hosting the training, delivering the curriculum, managing attendance and reporting metrics to the VPCO.
  • Provide hands-on training to all new and continuing area BCBAs; including but not limited to attending all assessments, evaluations, supervision, and other pertinent meetings to monitor and mentor BCBA until they can perform quality work and/or as a refresher to improve work.
  • Ensure quality BCBA work and continued improvements through trainings and supervision. The CD is responsible to ensure quality and compliance in all clinical areas; as such, the CD is then accountable for all errors, missing information, and/or improper procedure as they monitor their area BCBA’s clinical operations. When work is not of agency quality, the CD promptly reports and defers to VPCO.
  • Develop a weekly report to be discussed with the VPCO that tracks key Agency metrics for area locations including but not limited to billable hours, staff utilization rates, new client onboarding, HR and facility needs, etc.
  • Foster positive team culture and support coordination of team building activities. This includes developing constructive thoughts exercises, friendly competition between teams, and providing individual support to team members as needed.
  • Actively work toward clinical department annual goals, as determined collaboratively with the VPCO and leadership team.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies
  • Other job duties as assigned

This is what we need:

  • Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
  • Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in Applied Behavioral Analysis or related human service field and have a minimum of five years of full-time post graduate experience with the population served.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. Communicate effectively with direct reports, peers, and A360 leadership.
  • Knowledge of early childhood and autism assessment tools and procedures, and thorough knowledge of child development. Experience developing positive behavior support plans and programs; experience teaching social interaction and play skills
  • Knowledge of current methods of techniques of applied behavior analysis and discrete trail training; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with clients, parents, and progressions; competence in analyzing assessment results, designing appropriate individual treatment plans and behavior programs, and monitoring progress
  • Must be able to work effectively as a team leader, demonstrate flexibility and desire to learn new skills and improve professional qualifications.
  • Must maintain CEU requirements to ensure active certification
  • Maintain current status regarding assigned core competencies and certification within established schedule and timelines
  • Valid driver’s license, clear criminal background, clear healthcare registry check, and clear drug screen.
