Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, with a focus on manufacturing, and a proven track record in government auditing. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the business, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing. This role is integral to the financial health and growth of our organization, and we are looking for someone who is ready to take on the challenge.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations of the business, including budgeting, financial reporting, and auditing.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's business objectives.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement budget plans.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and government reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Train and mentor finance team members to ensure a high level of competency and efficiency.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in manufacturing finance is .
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master's degree will be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making.
