OBJECTIVES:

• To provide safe, prompt, efficient propane gas delivery to the customers of Propane Energy Services.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:

Reports to: Manager of Propane Energy Services

Directs: None

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Safely drives propane delivery truck to customer locations and transfers gas from truck to customer tank.
• Inspects and complete minor repairs to propane equipment (leak test, appliance)
• Assists with tank installations and service work when not delivering propane.
• Inspects vehicle daily keeping it in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations. If problems are discovered, must report to supervisor immediately.
• Will make sure plant facility is maintained by keeping grounds clean with all tools stored in their proper locations.
• Maintains a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward safety, sales, customer service and employee teamwork.
• Works according to safety rules and policies adopted by Propane Energy Services, is responsible for own safety, and reports all accidents immediately.
• Complies with all traffic laws, regulations, and safe practices while operating any company vehicle.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

POSITION: Truck Driver

EDUCATION:

High School graduate, or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of two years commercial driving experience required (with a clean driving record).

KNOWLEDGE:

Must possess basic computer skills and knowledge to access input and assess customer data base. Should be capable of making minor repairs to propane equipment.

ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

Must be comfortable meeting people and maintaining the ethics and integrity Propane Energy Partners customers' demand. Should be able to work without direct supervision. Must have ability and knowledge to notice minor repair work needed on equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

CDL Class B with a clean driving record. Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required. Must meet all DOT requirements including road test, physical, and drug screen. Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy objects (greater than 50lbs.) Ability to work outside in varying weather/driving conditions. Ability to work flexible schedule, including some weekends and holidays. Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
