Position: Ultrasound Technician / Sonographer (Cardiac / Vein)


Location: Sierra Vista, AZ


Schedule: Full-Time


Compensation: $45/hr

Job Summary:


The Ultrasound Technician/Sonographer (Cardiac/Vein) is a qualified healthcare professional responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to produce and record images according to a physician's directive. This specialist will make use of sound waves to capture imagery primarily of the heart and vascular system. Besides their technical role, they also play a critical patient-facing role by interacting respectfully and empathetically with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures.


Primary Duties:

1. Preparation and operation of the ultrasound equipment.

2. Performing diagnostic procedures such as echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms, and vascular sonograms.

3. Observing screen during the scan to ensure quality images and adjusting controls as necessary.

4. Analyzing and interpreting the sonographic data.

5. Providing preliminary findings to physicians for diagnostic interpretation.

6. Prepping patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.

7. Keeping accurate patient records and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive patient information.

8. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient care.

9. Staying updated with advancements in sonographic technology and techniques.

10. Adhering to ultrasound safety regulations and maintenance routines for diagnostic equipment.

11. Assisting with additional administrative tasks or duties as required.


Other Requirements:


  • Candidates must have RCS / RVT cert or experience in the following studies:
  • Echo
  • Carotid
  • AAA
  • Arterial
