We are the final remaining chain of full-service automotive repair shops in the valley, proudly owned and operated by a local family. With multiple locations spread across the valley, we are experiencing rapid expansion.


Job Description:

To deliver exceptional automotive service, encompassing engine repair and diagnostics, fuel systems, steering and suspension, exhaust systems, computer-controlled systems, electrical systems, cooling/heating and air conditioning, brakes, and various other vehicle maintenance services.


Key Responsibilities:


Vehicle Diagnostics and Repair:

  • Perform diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues in vehicles.
  • Interpret diagnostic results and use technical manuals and schematics to determine the root cause of problems.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, and electrical systems.


Routine Maintenance:

  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
  • Inspect vehicles for signs of wear and tear, damage, or safety concerns, and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services according to manufacturer guidelines to prolong the lifespan of vehicles.


Technical Expertise:

  • Stay updated on automotive technology advancements, tools, and techniques through training and professional development.
  • Use specialized diagnostic equipment and tools effectively to diagnose and repair vehicles accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow industry best practices and safety protocols to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.


Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Document all repair and maintenance activities, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic findings, in service records or computer systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance history to track service schedules and identify recurring issues.


Customer Service:

  • Interact with customers professionally and courteously, explaining repair recommendations and providing cost estimates.
  • Address customer concerns and inquiries regarding vehicle issues, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build trust and loyalty with clients and promote repeat business.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in automotive repair is preferred.
  • Relevant certification such as Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification is an asset.
  • Proven experience as an automotive technician, with a strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and tools, as well as computerized automotive repair systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures for various makes and models.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.


Work Environment:

Automotive Technicians typically work in automotive repair shops, dealerships, or service centers. The environment may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and hazardous materials. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment. Work schedules may include weekends, evenings, or overtime to accommodate customer demand or urgent repairs.
