Material Handling Inc. is a leading forklift service provider in the Southeast and we are looking to add to our Dalton, GA team. We are looking for an experienced Class A CDL Driver to deliver equipment to our customers in a safe, timely, efficient, and courteous manner. Since we are local, you'll be home every night.
Responsibilities include the following;
- Drop off and pickup equipment for customers
- Operate semi-truck and trailer consistent with DOT classification CDL-A
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, and pallet jacks
- Adhere to all safety requirements particular to equipment including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
- Maintain driver's logs and complete pre-trip inspections
- Suggest additional equipment and supplies customers may need
- May periodically work on material handling equipment in our shop
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Valid Class A CDL with acceptable driving record
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years DOT regulated Commercial Driving Experience
- Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
- Ability to frequently lift items up to 50 lbs.
- Basic knowledge of material handling equipment is a plus
- Knowledge of safe driving procedures and diligent attention to safety
