Our SEH Highway Engineering team is looking for a talented Civil Highway Design Engineer to join our team! This position is open to any of our Wisconsin office locations with the option for hybrid work!

SEH's Highway Design Team keeps their eyes and minds on the road – their solutions impact how we travel across our highways and roadways. You will be part of an award-winning team which designs innovative solutions for traffic and corridor enhancements, and bridge and interchange designs using the latest technology. From the initial stages of the project of surveying and right-a-away acquisition to stakeholder engagement through complex design, environmental work and construction – you’ll find yourself immersed in life-lasting projects that get us where we need to go safely and efficiently.

What you will be doing:

• Lead design for multiple projects such as roadways, intersections, roundabouts, bridges, trails and more!
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior level staff
• Represent SEH with agencies at project and public meetings
• Prepare project approaches, scopes and fees required to complete projects

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of six (6) years of experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer in state of Wisconsin with ability to obtain licensure in other states
• Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.
• Experience in highway design for WisDOT projects
• Working proficiency using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other applicable civil design software
• Must reside in the state of WI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Eight (8) years of experience
• Previous experience managing a staff of engineering professionals and serving as a technical mentor for junior level staff
• Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state or national Civil Engineering societies and associations
