Job Summary:

Provides role as patient advocate through his/ /her own role modeling of standards of performance and by communicating and meeting patients’ needs for service. Assists registered nurses in direct care of patients, specifically patients’ activities of daily living. Insures a safe and therapeutic environment on the unit through observation monitoring, interacting and providing/assisting in groups.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in any of the social sciences preferred and/or comparable behavioral health experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Experience in working with mentally ill and/or developmentally delayed clients.

Candidate must have excellent written skills.

Excellent communication skills.

External candidates: must have C.N.A certification.

Internal MHW candidates: must have or complete C.N.A. certification within 6 months of accepting position.

Schedule: 20/40 PT Days -EOW
