Direct Support Professional Job # (TP-BB) West Monroe

A female that lives in West Monroe is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with 10 hours community habilitation support a week. Her interests include going to the NYS Fair, Darien Lake, baking, shopping, video games, her daughter, board games, puzzles and parks. Her goals are to recieve support with developing person goals, assistance with money mangement and particiating in hobbies and classes of interest.

The ideal candidate neeeds to be reliable, energetic, creative, and willing to explore the interests of the individual. The ideal candidate is also patient and understanding.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency.

Hours and days of work: Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Starting pay: Starting pay for community hab is $18/hour depending on experience.

Location: West Monroe, NY

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work independently in the person's home and/or community.
• Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
• No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
• New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
