Ventura, CA Full-time $150,000.00 - $210,000.00Posted 03/14/2024Position Overview: The Chief Estimator is a key role in our organization that is responsible for developing comprehensive plans and estimates for electrical projects. The Chief Estimator will take a lead role in overseeing the entire estimating process from initial planning through project completion, ensuring that budgets and timelines are met and that customer requirements are fulfilled.Key Responsibilities:Lead the electrical estimating process from start to finish, including interpretation of drawings, obtaining quotes, pricing, and completing bid documents.Provide technical and professional expertise to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the bid.Develop detailed plans and cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring they are accurate and competitive.Develop and manage bids and contracts, monitor progress, and ensure customer expectations are met.Conduct site visits and review project documents to ensure accuracy of estimates.Conduct research and evaluate best practices to ensure cost savings and best-in-class services are offered.Ensure all bids are completed in a timely manner.Negotiate contracts, resolve disputes, and provide guidance to staff.Stay abreast of industry developments and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management or related field.A minimum of five years experience in electrical estimating.Proficient in using Vista, Bluebeam, and other estimating software.Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.Strong leadership and project management skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to interpret and analyze complex construction documents.Commitment to providing exceptional customer service.BenefitsGreat Compensation Package ( 150k to 220k)We have been around for 75+ years and are an extremely stable company with a ton of work backlog! Best benefits in the business!Strong PTO package and a company that promotes a healthy work life balance! Great growth Potential with work all across CA! Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.Preferred SkillsVistaBluebeamElectrical EstimatingEstimating
