The Agricultural Field Maintenance Technician Intern will perform a variety of day-to-day tasks with the Agriculture Department. If you are a creative problem-solver who likes to work outdoors during the summer months we want to talk with you.  What You’ll Get:A strong commitment to your safety & quality products.Competitive wages with overtime pay.Various bonus opportunities.401(k) option (self-contribution).Scholarship opportunities for your qualifying children.Employee assistance program.Stable work environment with a growing companyEmployer that works hard to ensure your safety on the jobPositive work environment with a family spirit  What You’ll Do:Assist with the maintenance and repair of agricultural equipment and machinery.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.Repair or replace damaged or worn parts.Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.Assist with the installation of new equipment and machinery.Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with established safety procedures.Report all injuries to the Field Superintendent.Assist with training in the safe, proper, and efficient operation of field equipment.Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.May perform other duties as assigned by the Agriculture Managers and Supervisors.Adhere to all Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.Notify management immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.  What You’ll Bring:Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.Agricultural experience/knowledge.Currently enrolled in an agricultural or mechanical engineering program.Basic knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.Strong problem-solving skills.Positive attitude.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Willingness to learn and take direction from senior technicians and Agriculture Managers.Ability to perform all job duties and task in accordance with best and safe practices. Where You’ll Work:WELCOME TO OWATONNALocated one hour south of Minneapolis, Owatonna is rich in history.   From Historic Downtown shops, restaurants, and outdoor concerts, to over 700 acres of parklands and walkways, there is something for everyone in Owatonna
