Radians Inc., is currently hiring for a Shipping Coordinator I. In this role The Shipping Coordinator I will verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment in a fast-paced environment. Duties include assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or material; receiving, unpacking, verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES for the Shipping Coordinator include the following:

  • Prepare international and manual documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes
  • Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
  • Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non-conformance to specifications
  • Examine shipment contents and compare with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter
  • Organize packaging procedures to ensure safety of shipment
  • Ensure that serial and batch numbers match the product, packing/shipping customer orders according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Use manual and electric pallet jacket as needed
  • Ensure that products processed for shipping are delegated to correct courier
  • Assist in other areas as needed and performing other duties as assigned
  • Prepare invoices and delivery orders
  • Make sure that items are loaded onto shipment vehicle in a safe and timely manner

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE and OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES for the Shipping Coordinator :

  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
  • 2+ years of related work experience
  • Use of handheld RF Gun experience A PLUS; not required
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. (pounds) as required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be PC literate (MS Office) and have strong data entry, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal with strong business acumen
  • Ability to operate Barcode printers, handheld barcode scanners, high-speed/moving object scanning devices
  • Prior experience operating WMS systems, such as (P21), UPS and FEDEX Worldwide Ship systems
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • General problem-solving/analysis capabiities.
  • Possesses attention to detail and thoroughness.
