Job Summary:
The Restaurant and Banquet Server will be responsible for providing exceptional service to guests at the Doubletree in Schenectady, NY. This is a part-time, hourly position within the hospitality and restaurant industry. As an individual contributor, the Server will report directly to the Restaurant Manager and work closely with the entire food and beverage team.

Responsibilities:
- Greet guests and take food and drink orders in a timely manner
- Ensure accuracy in order placement and communicate any necessary modifications to the kitchen staff
- Deliver food and beverages to guests, ensuring proper service sequence and presenting dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner
- Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, providing exceptional customer service and addressing any issues that may arise
- Set up and break down tables, chairs, and other equipment necessary for service, adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of restaurant and banquet areas, including but not limited to clearing tables, restocking supplies, and cleaning floors
- Collaborate with other servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to provide a seamless dining experience for guests
- Follow all cash handling procedures and accurately process payments from guests
- Uphold and adhere to all food and beverage standards set by Doubletree and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required; some college or relevant hospitality education preferred
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a high-volume restaurant or banquet setting
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and lift up to 35 pounds
- Knowledge of food and beverage menu items and service techniques
- Professional and team-oriented attitude
