Job Summary:

We seek an Attorney with expertise in plaintiffs' work, focusing on personal injury and civil rights cases. This role involves managing a caseload from initial consultation to resolution, engaging directly with clients, and collaborating with our team to ensure the highest quality legal services. The ideal candidate will leverage legal technology to enhance efficiency and client communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle cases, including wrongful death, harassment/abuse, and civil rights violations, with professionalism and strategic expertise.
  • Offer personalized legal counsel and representation, ensuring clients are fully informed and supported throughout their cases.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies, ensuring timely progression and adherence to legal procedures.
  • Conduct thorough research and apply legal precedents to support case preparation and strategy formulation.
  • Efficiently prepare and file legal documents, maintaining accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
  • Work closely with both legal and administrative staff to ensure comprehensive case management.
  • Utilize case management software, like Smoke Ball, to enhance efficiency in case handling and client communications.
  • Maintain open and effective communication channels with clients, providing regular updates on case progress.
  • Participate in continuous learning opportunities to remain abreast of legal trends and practices.
  • Adhere to the highest legal ethics and professional responsibility standards in all activities.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Requires a current law license.
    • Must be licensed in New Mexico or eligible for licensure via reciprocity with states that have a reciprocity agreement with New Mexico.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant legal experience is essential, especially in personal injury, civil rights cases, and specifically including experience in multiple states and jurisdictions such as New Mexico, Arizona, and the Navajo Nation.
  • A proven track record of managing cases from initial consultation to successful resolution is expected, with a focus on wrongful death, sexual abuse, civil rights violations, and personal injury.
  • The ability to provide personalized legal counsel and develop strategic case plans that align with legal procedures and client goals is essential.
  • Exceptional communication skills are vital for maintaining effective client relations and ensuring clients are informed and supported throughout their cases.
  • Proficiency in using legal software, like Smoke Ball, for case management and client communication is essential for boosting service efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated capability to work cohesively with legal and administrative staff for comprehensive case management is required.
  • A solid commitment to professional development, with an eagerness to continue learning and stay abreast of legal trends and practices, is anticipated.
