Job Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Rochester, WA. This is a full-time position set to begin on January 3, 2024, and continue through June 12, 2024. The Occupational Therapist will work with students from Pre-K to 12th grade, providing therapeutic services to support their developmental needs. Additionally, the position will have the valuable support of a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing, and activities of daily living.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and the COTA to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' overall educational plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students, both in individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
Qualifications:
- Current Washington state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Previous experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement effective occupational therapy interventions.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing occupational therapy in schools.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time position: Monday to Friday.
Contract Duration:
- January 3, 2024, to June 12, 2024.
Student Population:
- Grades Pre-K to 12th.
- Approximately 60 students.
Support Staff:
- Full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Location:
- Rochester, WA.
