Caregiver

Job Summary:
The Caregiver at Village Caregiving - Point Pleasant is responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality care to elderly and disabled individuals in their homes. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical position located in New Haven, West Virginia. As an individual contributor, the Caregiver will work closely with clients and their families to ensure their physical and emotional well-being.

Compensation & Benefits:

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including but not limited to grooming, dressing, bathing, toileting, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the designated healthcare provider
- Help with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients to promote mental well-being
- Document and maintain accurate records of care provided
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of clients at all times
- Follow all safety protocols and report any incidents or accidents

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) certification preferred
- Proven experience in caregiving or a related field
- Compassionate and patient attitude
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and infection control practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist clients with mobility
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
