We are in need of two Special Education Nurses for Goldendale, WA. Below are the specifics:
Special Education Nurse to serve High School. 33.75 hrs/wk, school year schedule (7:45 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Monday - Friday)
Special Education Nurse to serve Head Start. 30 hrs/wk, school year schedule (7:45 a.m. – 2:15 p.m. Monday – Friday)

The needs of the students are:
Medication administration
G-tube feedings – administer feedings and monitor tubes
At-risk of falls and seizures

Rate:
LPN: $30.94 - $37 per hour
RN: $37 - $45 per hour

Responsibilities:
Assess and provide for the basic and critical needs of students with life-threatening medical conditions.
​Provide invasive care and administer medications and treatments as needed.
Document student care administered as part of the student health plan.
Collect health care and educational data provided for assigned students.
Facilitate collaboration and communication between interdisciplinary team members to meet students' goals.
Assist the special education teacher, consistent with IEP or IFSP goals, in lesson plan preparation, classroom management, student observation and assessment and communication with staff.
Attend to the physical needs of students, including moving and positioning students and assisting with personal hygiene needs.

Requirements

Qualifications:
Holds or eligible to hold a valid Washington State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Experience as a LPN or RN in a school setting (preferred).
Experience in pediatrics (preferred).
Knowledge of programs and services for students with disabilities (preferred).
Experience in special education classroom setting (preferred).
