Job Description

Position Overview The cashier/barista is the front-line contact for Craft Culinary Concepts and is responsible for providing quick and efficient service to our guests as well as assisting with other tasks in their assigned location including but not limited to restocking supplies, prep of cold and hot food items, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work station to comply with Craft Culinary Concepts and local health department policies. The cashier/barista is also responsible for the overall operation of the coffee station to include but not limited to, suggesting, making, and serving regular and specialty coffee drinks in accordance with established recipes and procedures. The cashier/barista must be familiar with all food and beverage items available as well as prep techniques and quantities.


Essential Job Functions The cashier/barista is responsible for greeting all guests in a prompt and friendly fashion building rapport to drive future sales. The cashier/barista will usually have a register to key in orders and total sales, but may have instances that calculation will have to be done manually including providing correct change to the guest. The cashier/barista is responsible for accurately filling the guest's order by relaying information to a runner, a cook via register, manual tickets, or obtaining needed food and beverage items on their own. If cashiers serve alcoholic beverages, they must comply with all Craft Culinary Concepts and State liquor service policies and rules. The cashier/barista is responsible for ensuring all pre-event tasks are completed that may include set up, prep, and that inventory is accounted for each day. The successful cashier/ barista will manage your assigned locations by communicating with various points of contact (i.e. Director of Operations, Warehouse, Asst. Concession Manager, and Supervisors) to ensure the satisfaction of all guests.


Requirements

  • Must be at least 16* years old
  • Must have a valid alcohol certificate if 18 or older to serve alcohol
  • Must have a valid Food Handler Card on file with Craft Culinary Concepts and in your possession for each shift worked
  • Must have knowledge of cash handling including ability to total orders and make change without the use of cash register
  • Must be able to effectively use cash register and credit card machines
  • Must have a H.S Diploma or equivalent; unless currently enrolled
  • Must complete all pre-employment forms, successfully pass a background check and math assessment involving all US monetary units
  • Must be able to work with a group as well as independently
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language used by guests who typically visit the work location
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced high stress environment
  • Preferred 2+ years counter server or equivalent experience in high volume restaurant environment or another stadium/arena/venue
  • Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers, supervisors and guests

Other Skills/Abilities

  • Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, tightly quartered environment is a must
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in extreme temperature fluctuations and around excessive noise
