Join us at Community Access Services, a dedicated nonprofit committed to serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are currently seeking enthusiastic Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to support individuals in a 24-hour residential program. This role presents an opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Schedule: Friday and Saturday 2-10pm

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a group living setting.
  • Follow specified Individual Support Plans (ISP) to enhance the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, and mobility support.
  • Support skill-building activities to foster independence and personal development.
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation of daily activities, care provided, and any incident or observations.
  • Work collaboratively with other DSPs, supervisors, and team members to provide comprehensive support.
  • Prioritize the safety and well-being of the individuals you work with.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to perform physical requirements, including lifting approx. 50 lbs.
  • Basic reading, writing, mathematical, and computer skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and respond effectively to challenges.
  • Successful completion of a level II background check
