Job Details

As the Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. You will work closely with senior management to develop and implement strategies to ensure the company's financial health and sustainability. Additionally, you will provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and maintain comprehensive budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.

Cost Management: Analyze manufacturing costs and overhead expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to support business initiatives and identify areas for improvement.

Internal Controls: Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Tax Compliance: Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and compliance with tax laws and regulations.

Audit Preparation: Prepare for and facilitate annual audits, working closely with auditors to provide necessary documentation and ensure audit objectives are met.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals and objectives.

Ad Hoc Projects: Lead and participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management, providing financial expertise and support as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Proven experience as a Controller or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the steel or metal fabrication industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, and budgeting processes.
Proficiency in financial management software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
