Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) looking for a rewarding opportunity in Taft? We are seeking a Full-Time SLPA to join our team for the entire school year. Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in conducting assessments, evaluations, and therapy sessions
  • Work with students individually or in small groups to improve communication skills
  • Implement therapy plans and techniques developed by the Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and communication with parents and caregivers
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to support students' speech and language needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans

Qualifications:

  • BachelorsDegree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistance or related field
  • Valid CA SLPA Licensure
  • Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for working with students with speech and language disorders
