Planner Scheduler

Turner Industries Group is looking for Planner/Scheduler for maintenance work in Point Comfort, TX area.

NO per diem or relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.

• 40 hrs
• Overtime as needed
• 4 to 5 years experience
• Must be able to pass drug screen
• TWIC Required

General Job Description:

Prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications.

Functional Requirements:

Reviews and incorporates historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures; estimates worker-hours and materials required to complete the job; reviews specifications, drawings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate; prepares estimates by calculating complete takeoff of scope of work; maintains files of working documents and back-up for estimate figures; follows contracts as assigned - may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring material, etc.; performs additional assignments as required.

Qualification Standards:

• Minimum four (4) years to five (5) years of field experience and/or education in construction technology
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
• Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries Group, LLC. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place

Physical Involvement:

Employee may be required to do the following: reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movement of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work; comparing
and understanding differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawings or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions, plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.

Work Environment Factors:

• Location: industrial construction sites and/or office environment
• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: indoor/ outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery,
equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
