Incorporated in 1999, we support mission critical Information Technology (IT) business needs for clients within the intelligence community (IC), Department of Defense (DOD), Veteran Administration (VA) and for select commercial clients. Position Overview:

ACET is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Contractor Proposal Writer to join our Business Development team. The Proposal Writer will play a crucial role in the development of competitive and compliant proposals for government contracts. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of government procurement processes, excellent writing skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with our cross-functional team.

Responsibilities:

  • Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end development of government contract proposals, ensuring compliance with all RFP requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria.
  • Research: Conduct research to gather information relevant to the proposal, including client needs, industry trends, and competitor analysis.
  • Content Creation: Write and edit proposal content, including executive summaries, technical sections, management plans, and other proposal components.
  • Coordination: Collaborate with subject matter experts, technical teams, and other stakeholders to gather information and input for proposals.
  • Compliance: Ensure proposals adhere to all government regulations, compliance requirements, and formatting guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews and editing of proposal content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Proposal Submission: Manage the submission process, including assembling proposal documents and desktop publishing, coordinating with subcontractors (if applicable), and meeting submission deadlines.
  • Proposal Repository: Maintain a repository of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and past proposal submissions for future reference.
  • Post-Proposal Activities: Support post-proposal activities, such as debriefings, feedback analysis, and lessons learned sessions to improve the proposal development process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Communications, Business) or equivalent work experience.
  • Ten years proposal/technical writing experience
  • Proven experience in government contract proposal writing, with a track record of successful contract wins.
  • Strong understanding of federal government procurement processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Highly Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Word, excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint for proposal management.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple proposal efforts simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
