Job Title: Maintenance Publications Specialist

Department: QC Publications (Dept. 62)

Reports To: Maintenance Publication Specialist Supervisor

POSITION PURPOSE:

Ensure that Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance data is kept at the current revision level and coordinate the distribution of such data.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Receive revised maintenance data from the OEM (Boeing, Pratt & Whitney, etc.) and maintain a file system (library) with master copies of the data.

2. Produce copies of revised maintenance data for distribution (hard copy, CD, DVD, or microfilm).

3. Distribute the revised maintenance data to the manual holders and aircraft, and track the revision acknowledgment receipts.

4. Perform quarterly checks with the OEMs via e-mail or website to confirm the revision level of each manual. Retain dated proof of this information.

5. Perform a maintenance manual audit onboard each Kalitta Air aircraft in Oscoda, at the A-check and C-check level, or during drop-in maintenance if so directed by the Manager of Quality Control or QC Publications Manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

1. High school diploma or GED equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, write, and understand spoken and written English.
