Machine Operator (Seasonal)

JOB TITLE: Machine Operator (Seasonal)

REPORTS TO: Department Supervisor

1ST SHIFT DAYS: Monday – Friday

1ST SHIFT HOURS: 6:00am – 2:00pm (Overtime as needed)

2ND SHIFT DAYS: Monday – Thursday

2ND SHIFT HOURS: 2:00pm – 11:00pm (Overtime as needed)

JOB SUMMARY: This is a seasonal position that could be in any of our production departments, including: Material Processing, Finishing, Final Assembly or Tables. Summer help is placed where needed, and the position may change often. Duties are physical and may include work on machines such as edge bander, chop saw, HBD, and more. Direct labor duties may include sanding, staining, table assembly, cabinet assembly, packing, crating, and more. Option to stay on as permanent, full-time employee a possibility. *MUST BE OVER 18 YEARS OLD

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: High School or Equivalent
• Experience: 6 months or more working in production
• Must be over 18 years old
• Physical mobility sufficient to accommodate bending, reaching, lifting and gripping up to 50 lbs.
• Basic math skills to include fractions and decimals, including conversion
• Ability to read a tape measure quickly and accurately
• Understanding of blueprints in regard to cabinet building
• Computer knowledge
• Good attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to learn quickly and desire to take on new projects
• Must present a professional image
• Team player
• Capable of handling a fast-paced environment
