Basic Job Responsibility: We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the executive and sous chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations
  • Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients and cooking main dishes, desserts and appetizers
  • Assisting with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, kitchen equipment, walk-in coolers and freezers, and all storage areas
  • Plating prepared foods based on Executive Sous Chef’s guidance
  • Working with servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time
  • Operating large volume cooking equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, grills, deep fat fryers, and/or griddles
  • Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible
  • Verifying that prepared food meets requirements for quality, presentation, and quantity
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned
Requirements:

Position Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of prep or line cook experience
  • Must have basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
  • A team player with with good communication skills
  • Able to carry up to 50 lbs
  • ServSafe certification is a plus, but not required
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays

Reports directly to Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and ultimately to the General Manager.
