Spindle Staffing is currently seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for an end-of-year assignment in Blanco, Texas. This temporary position offers an opportunity to work with a life skills classroom caseload, providing support to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in the life skills classroom.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic and functional skill areas.
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with paraprofessionals, support staff, and parents to ensure a supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and behavior.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
- Texas Special Education Teacher Certification.
- Experience working with students in life skills or functional skills classrooms preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage a caseload of students with varying needs.
