Qualifications
1. Shows evidence of Christian maturity and a strong grasp of the essence of Christian education.
2. Meets the state requirements and qualifications for a teacher. Must be at least 18 years old.

Performance Responsibilities

Spiritual
Demonstrates spiritual maturity in attitude, actions, and speech, showing a consistent walk with Jesus Christ. In all work is sensitive to the spiritual needs of people.
Classroom Management
  • Plan and implement a daily program using an age appropriate curriculum along with other that addresses spiritual, physical, emotional, social, and mental needs of the individual child in a group environment
  • Prepare the learning environment by setting up and preparing needed materials and supplies.
  • Will treat all children with dignity and respect. Will follow the basic school discipline formula, taking the initiative to clearly communicate discipline concerns to the director and to the parents. Will abide by a code of confidentiality in all discipline cases.
  • Is responsible for an equal share of joint housekeeping responsibilities of the staff.
  • Maintains a professional attitude.
  • Attends staff meeting and training programs as deemed necessary by the director.
  • Exhibits a warm and friendly personality to children, staff, and parents.
  • Accepts additional appropriate duties as assigned by the director.
Communication
  • Ability to build open relationships based on mutual respect with parents, children, and other staff members.
Staff and parents
  • Ability to work through conflicts (to problem-solve and to negotiate solutions)

Children
  • Ability to relate to each child according to his/her individual needs, interests, and abilities

  • Ability to promote childrens exploration of situations and materials by asking questions and by providing appropriate materials and guidance
