To support its strategic expansion, we are now seeking several talented CAD Drafter Technicians who possess a genuine interest in the opportunity to learn how to use cutting-edge and proprietary technology to serve our clients better as well as for personal career advancement purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting personnel with making copies, outside printing, preparing shipments, etc.
- With minimal oversight, making minor corrections to Unit Tabulations, Staking Sheets, Cable Schematics, Detail Maps, etc.
- With minimal oversight, cleaning up land bases to be used for maps.
- Interpreting & drawing Staking Sheets, Cable Schematics, & Detail Maps utilizing company standards from hand-marked maps.
Experience & Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD (drawing shapes, line manipulation, layers, blocks) is desirable, but not required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Willingness to learn the basics of telecommunications systems.
- Experience with other GIS products, such as ESRI and MicroStation, is desirable, but not required.
- Must be able to work at a computer station all day, clearly view the monitor, and use fine hand manipulation of a mouse to draw various engineering drawings.
- Proficient computer skills are required.
