Contractor - Family Support Specialist- Fannin County, GA

What will I be doing?

As a member of our team, the Contractor – Family Support Specialist can provide the following services for families who are involved with DFCS (Dept. of Family and Children Services):

• Supervision for displaced foster children
• Parent Aid Training
• Supervise visitation between approved parents and children
• Provide transportation services
• Provide drug screen collections
• Collaborate with case managers, other contractors, and community partners to ensure effective treatment and case collaboration

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field Human Services degrees which are acceptable: Psychology, Sociology, Counseling (religious counseling does not qualify) Social Work, Child Development, Community Mental Health, Human Services, Education (experience teaching K-12 grade)
  • Or
• Five years’ experience in the human-services field working with children.
