Minimum 10 years truss design experience. College degree not required.
We recently moved into our new office and we are growing. We are looking to bring on an experienced Truss Designer to help take our company to the next level. This individual would assist the Design Team with completing truss layouts and designs for not only bidding purposes, but also for complete production design submittals for our clients. He or she would also be required to complete EWP takeoffs, and truss/beam hardware takeoffs based on the construction documents provided. This individual would be part of a team where their skill set can be utilized to help train and give advice to new design team members.
Skills needed:
1. Strong communication and math skills.
2. Organized and detail oriented.
3. Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook knowledge.
4. Expert in Blueprint/plan reading a must.
5. Advanced residential, commercial, and multi-family prefabricated wood truss design experience. Minimum 10 years.
6. Advanced ITW/Alpine prefabricated wood truss design software knowledge.
7. Advanced construction and framing practice knowledge required. a good knowledge of Texas and Louisiana framing practices a plus.
8. AutoCad drafting with a background in architectural drafting can be a plus for helping in the submittal process.
College degree not required.
