The Role

The Manager of SEC Reporting is responsible for overall management and administration of quality and timely external financial reporting for the Company. This high visibility role interacts with Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Financial Planning and Analysis and other accounting team members in various meetings with Senior Vice President & Controller, Assistant Controller, and external auditors, and manages a team of individual contributors.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation and review of all three Form 10-Q and 10-K, including XBRL
  • Manage the preparation of the quarterly earnings release filing 8-K and supplemental trending schedule
  • Manage the review and substantiation of quarterly earnings presentation, earnings script, and earnings dashboard
  • Create and maintain the SEC calendar to inform parties of necessary deliverable deadlines for support and adherence for the 10-Q and 10-K schedule
  • Communicate and explain accounting issues and evolving accounting guidance to the management team
  • Manage communications with external auditors on US GAAP financial statements and SEC filings to ensure awareness of management decisions related to accounting principles and policies, disclosures and issues
  • Train staff on new developments and new technology
  • Responsible for performing and maintaining SOX controls over financial reporting areas
  • Prepare accurate financial reporting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Prepare other ad-hoc analysis and special projects, as requested
  • Other duties as established or assigned
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • 3-5 years of SEC financial reporting experience
  • 1-2 years of experience managing staff
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP
  • 3-5 years of experience working with large public company and/or large public accounting firm
  • Must have the ability to interact with C-level executives, middle management, and external auditors
  • Bachelors or Master's in accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • CPA license required
  • SAP, Workiva and OneStream experience preferred
Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$94420 - $125890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.
$99390 - $132510 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.
$104360 - $139140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.
$109330 - $145770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
