WHAT YOU WILL DO

Myriad Genetics is seeking a Product Manager II to support and develop our patient experiences. Reporting to the Group Product Manager, the Product Manager II will join Myriad's Product Organization, where we focus on building products and software that empowers clinicians to make genetic test a routine part of medicine. Our digital workflow solutions range from provider test ordering and resulting to identifying at-risk patients, tracking test progress, guiding actionable insights, and connecting patients to educational resources.

The ideal candidate has some experience in product development and clinical care. They also have a passion for making genetic testing accessible to more people. You'll partner with others on the product management team to help streamline touchpoints for our patients and deliver exceptional experiences. The Product Manager II is responsible for overseeing the product lifecycle phases from requirements through build and launch. You'll write product requirements, work closely with engineering during the development process and create launch materials for the sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Align the patient experience product roadmap to company goals and initiatives
  • With the Group Product Manager, develop innovative workflows that engage patients to understand and engage more with genetic education and testing
  • Help to streamline and scale our patient education and genetic counseling experience and workflows so that more consumers, patients, and providers can utilize our experience
  • Build and maintain key relationships with business stakeholders across commercial, operations, marketing, clinical genomics, medical services, and other teams
  • Engage in user, market, and competitive research to better understand needs and opportunities for patients
  • Identify tradeoffs and prioritize feature work
  • Write crisp product requirements to drive technical specifications and user experience and interface designs
  • Execute closely with UX designers and software engineers through the full product lifecycle
  • Define, measure, and analyze metrics to evaluate product success and identify opportunities for improvement

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree
  • Work experience in life sciences, technology, healthcare, molecular diagnostics, or biotech
  • Experience working as part of a team building and launching software products
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and/or other software development management tools
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills and business acumen
  • Curiosity and drive to make genetic testing accessible

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1-3 years in product management in a tech company, biotech or other life sciences industry
  • Experience working with software engineering teams using Agile and Scrum practices
  • 1-3 years experience in clinical care such as genetic counseling or related field
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
  • Experience working with a remote team
