Senior Services Program Manager

DUTIES: Under general guidance and direction from the Recreation Director, performs supervisory and administrative duties in coordinating and maintaining operations of the Senior Recreation Center. The primary role of the Senior Services Program Manager is to organize and implement engaging, fun and inclusive programs that appeal to diverse senior interests and needs. Develops, organizes, and implements recreational, educational, and social activities to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of the senior population.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Bachelor's degree in gerontology or therapeutic recreation, recreation administration, human services or related social services degree.

Experience: Two years' experience in social/recreational programming and services for the elderly.

Licenses/Certifications: A valid State of Utah Driver's License.

Special Qualifications: Must pass a criminal history background investigation.

SALARY: $26.24 to $34.11 per hour based on experience. Also includes a comprehensive benefits package.

SCHEDULE: M-F, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. May occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends to help with various city celebrations and recreation programs.
