What You will be responsible for:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist the technician with light repair and installation work.
  • Observe and learn all aspects of the trade.
  • Always be safety conscious.
  • Providing a memorable experience for each customer
  • Performing physically demanding tasks, such as moving and lifting heavy objects and crawling through small spaces such as attics
  • Working nights or weekends, on a rotating basis, to service emergency needs of our customers
  • Learning the Lloyd Home Service system
  • Maintaining a clean and organized jobsite and inventoried truck
  • Show yourself as a professional
  • Assisting lead technician with:
  1. Diagnosing and repairing residential and light commercial plumbing jobs in accordance with the State of Vermont Building Codes
  2. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems, apparatus and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
  3. Inspecting plumbing systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all plumbing codes
  4. Testing Plumbing systems, equipment and fixtures, to ensure compatibility and safety of system

  • Ability to pass a drug test and background check
  • Exceptional Plumbing Apprentice will be wearing a uniform, clean cut
  • You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; be able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices); carry ladders; work from heights, work in small crawl spaces
