Position: Floor Attendant/ Busser 


Job Summary:


As a Floor Attendant at COATI, you play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests. The Floor Attendant is responsible for creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for all guests and ensuring that their needs are met throughout their visit. This position is instrumental in maintaining a clean and organized environment and contributing to the overall positive experience of our guests.


Duties and Responsibilities:


1. Greeting Guests: Welcome all new guests

2. Table Maintenance: Pre-bus tables efficiently by removing unnecessary items, such as empty glassware, extra trays, dirty dishes/flatware, crumpled napkins, and straws. If the guest is not using it, promptly take it away.


3. Support Floor Staff and Dishwasher: Assist the host in welcoming guests and contribute to creating a positive first impression. Additionally, collaborate with the dishwasher in putting away cleaned dishes to maintain a smooth flow of operations.


4. Sanitation: Clear, clean, and sanitize tables thoroughly, including the table top, seat, and the floor around the table, to ensure a clean and pleasant dining area.


5. Bus Station Maintenance: Keep the bus station tidy and clean by regularly wiping the counter, emptying the bus tub, and promptly disposing of trash. Ensure that the station is well-stocked with napkins, flatware, water bottles and glassware for efficient service.


6. Vendor Support: Help vendors restock their dishes as needed during service, facilitating a seamless process and ensuring they have the necessary resources to serve guests.


7. Effective Communication: Maintain constant communication with all members of the staff, fostering a cohesive team and providing updates on guest needs or any potential issues that may arise.


8. Guest Assistance: Be attentive to guests' needs and assist them if they appear lost or unsure. Be prepared to provide information about COATI and offer tours of the space when requested.


9. Dissatisfied Guest Resolution: If a guest expresses dissatisfaction, listen empathetically, and take their concerns seriously. Promptly involve a manager to address the issue, regardless of who may be at fault, to ensure their expectations are exceeded on subsequent interactions.



Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay organized.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
- Positive and friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work as part of a team.



Work Environment:
The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, requiring the ability to multitask and stay alert. Floor Attendants will be on their feet for extended periods and may need to lift or carry items as part of their duties.
