Job Description

Under direction of appropriate manager, maintain responsibility for overall shift operations, production performance, equipment maintenance, and regulatory compliance for a thermal soil treatment facility. Maintain and monitor facility and staff for regulatory compliance and safe behavior in accordance with all federal, state, local, and customer requirements.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

* Supervise operations personnel in accordance with operations plan, health and safety plan, work rules, monitoring and testing requirements. * Assure adherence/compliance to all federal, state, local permit requirements, assuring that materials are processed in safe, efficient, timely manner * Accomplishes production staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. * Maintains staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities. * Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries. * Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques. * Uphold facility hygiene and stringent housekeeping standards. * Maintain accurate production, quality control, equipment records and daily and other periodic inspection reports * Communicate to management: facility needs, difficulties, changes in operations. * Help to implement safety, health, and environmental plans & procedures. * Participate in customer tours of production facility as required * Assist other departments (i.e. maintenance, transportation, sales) as necessary * Creates and revises systems and procedures by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and budgetary and personnel requirements; implementing change. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED * 3+ years of supervisory experience or 5+ years of experience in material processing facilities or the environmental industry. * Materials processing experience * Willingness and ability to wear company provided personal protection equipment including eye protection, steel toed shoes, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator

Preferred Qualifications:

* Asphalt/concrete plant experience preferred * 2+ years of mechanical experience - Welding, Fabrication, General Maintenance * Associate's or bachelor's degree * Extremely organized and attention to detail required * Ability to deal politely and professionally with customers and/or coworkers * Ability to follow directions or instructions * Ability to use a computer to communicate, create, and access information
