The Primetals Ghent, KY facility conducts maintenance and reconditioning of conventional and new state-of-the-art steel slab casting equipment for Nucor Gallatin. The facility also offers engineering services, in-plant laser measurement services, plant millwright services, mechanical machining, fabrication, and welding services. Our expertise and technological advancements for the maintenance, repair and manufacture of continuous casting equipment, mold, segment, roll and related components allow us to provide our customers with an exceptional value in workmanship and quality assurance.

Now Hiring: 1st shift Truck Driver

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT:

Class A CDL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operates flat-bed truck to transport large industrial equipment. Distance primarily within 10 miles of our location in Ghent, KY. Some OTR is possible but seldom.

Driver is responsible for rigging, loading and unloading truck.

Driver is required to perform daily inspections as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.

Maintains logbook and other documents to comply with DOT regulations.

Perform daily pre-trip inspections of truck and trailer.

When not operating truck, the driver is required to perform light mechanic functions in support of the department.

Assembles, dismantles, repairs, and installs industrial machinery and equipment using a wide range of hand and power tools.
