Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to fill the role of Director of Project Management and Estimating in the Structural Steel Fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will play a key leadership role, overseeing and optimizing project management and estimating processes to ensure the successful execution of structural steel fabrication projects. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in project management, estimation, and a deep understanding of the structural steel industry.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership:
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the project management and estimating teams.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align project goals with organizational objectives.
• Project Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end project management process, ensuring timely and on-budget project delivery.
  • Develop and implement project management best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven project management culture.
• Estimating:
  • Lead the estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive bids for structural steel fabrication projects.
  • Review and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive and detailed project estimates.
• Client Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients during project development and execution.
• Team Development:
  • Recruit, train, and mentor project management and estimating teams.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Quality Control:
  • Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in a leadership role within the Structural Steel Fabrication industry.
• Strong project management and estimating skills with a successful track record of overseeing large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of structural steel fabrication processes, industry standards, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Proficiency in project management software and estimation tools.
