Job Description
The F&B Shift Manager will supervise and coordinate the work performed directly related to their specific venue and supervises the activities of all subordinates; for the appearance, time keeping, high levels of service standards and guest satisfaction, and the on-the-job day-to-day training of the subordinate F&B positions within the venue ensuring that the operation of the venue and Team Member performance are in accordance with Casino Pauma policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the managing of all FOH operations
- Oversees the setup of dining room tables, chairs, and table tops (where applicable)
- Oversees general correspondence with clients / vendors or customers
- Establishes, maintains and updates files, databases, records and/or other documents
- Answer employee questions and provide guidance in the performance of their duties.
- Responsible for the maintaining and developing the venues P&P’s
- Complete necessary paperwork for the shift.
- Assist servers, bussers, cashiers and all F&B operations when necessary
- Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
- Ensures that all costs are minimized and within the limits set by the F&B Director
- Ensures smooth and efficient operations on a continual and consistent basis
- Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service and Team Member relations are maintained and carried out in a fair and equitable manner
- Ensures compliance with all health and safety standards/regulations.
- Responsible with the scheduling of all Team Members and ensuring correct staffing levels and adjustments are made in accordance with guests and business needs
- Monitors job performance of all venue associates and provides feedback to aid Team Members in developing and enhancing skills
- Provides input to the F&B Director concerning operational deficiencies and areas in need of improvement
- Responsible for the hiring, transfers, promotions, evaluations, corrective action and terminations
- Work with other management personnel to plan marketing, advertising, and any special F&B functions
- Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food and beverage quality and service
- Responsible for maintaining professional F&B image, including venue cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards
- Responsible for the upkeep and programming of the POS systems
- All other duties as assigned by F&B Director
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Three (3) years manager experience in F&B, preferred in a casino or multi-outlet area.
• One (1) year of general supervisory experience or successful completion of a supervisory training program required.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Experience dealing with disgruntled guests and complaints on a day-day basis and having the skills and ability to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests
• ServSafe preferred
• Valid food handlers card and knowledge of HACCP principles required
• Working knowledge of computers, POS systems, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and related printers and equipment
• F&B training experience is required
• Excellent communication skills and good command of the English language in spoken and written form
