BIG PICTURE:

The Human Resources Generalist will assist in daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including onboarding, administering benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The HR Generalist will also assist with employee relations and development of management through training opportunities.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required and at least 2 years of HR experience.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong proficiency in Outlook
  • Strong ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize.
  • Must also have strong reporting skills, attention to detail, and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under time constraints to ensure critical deadlines are met.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills to foster strong relationships at all levels.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of professionalism and with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule, to be at work and on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules may vary based on business need.

JOB DUTIES & FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversees daily Onboarding function within Avantic Lodging Enterprises
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; and training and development.
  • Manages timeline to ensure all transactions are processed according to correct pay period requirements and guidelines.
  • Oversee applicant drug screen process, reference checks and motor vehicle checks.
  • Serve as Human Resources subject matter expert and participate on project teams.
  • Train new managers on Human Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems etc.
  • Fields and responds to phone/email inquiries of other team members as it relates to human resources.
  • Ensures data integrity by completing audit processes as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
