Job Title: Welders, Pipe Fitters, and Journeyman

Organization Background:

Founded in 1975, Mid-State started out as a Machine Shop with 15 employees servicing mostly Phosphate industry. Today, Mid-State Industrial Services employees over 500 people serving the Phosphate, Chemical, Power, Citrus, Sand & Aggregate, and many other industries by offering turnkey solutions including field maintenance, fabrication, dragline repair, machining, pump repair, gearbox repair, and valve repair. MS is equipped with industry experts, 200,000 square foot of shop space, and overhead crane capacity up to 35 tons allowing MS to meet all of our clients' needs.

Essential Duties & Requirements Include:

• Welding & Torch cutting
• Industrial maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:

• For welders: Pass weld test 2G, 3G, & 4G (Mig and/or Stick)
• Pass background check
• Must be able to work with others
• Operate and Maintain tools and equipment
• Ability to lift, push and pull 50 pounds; May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work overtime, if needed or required (10+ hour shifts at times)
• Valid driver's license
• Extensive standing, walking, bending and twisting is required.
• Including some climbing and sitting.

Working Conditions:

• Work areas include working on concrete, loose gravel, dirt/mud, and at heights in an industrial environment.
• Standard PPE includes; steel toe boots, long pants, long sleeved shirt and safety glasses.

Specifics:

• Location- Lake City, Fl
• Day Shift Typically 7:00 am to 3:30 PM-5:30 PM but can fluctuate
• Night Shift and minimal travel required for some projects
