Restaurant Busser

Job Summary:

We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Restaurant Busser. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, providing essential support to the serving staff and contributing to the overall guest experience. The busser plays a vital role in maintaining a pleasant dining environment and upholding our restaurant's standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Clear tables efficiently and promptly after guests have finished their meals, ensuring timely turnover for new guests.
• Reset tables with clean utensils, napkins, and condiments in preparation for new guests.
• Assist servers in delivering food and beverages to tables, as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dining area, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down tables and chairs, and tidying up any spills or messes.
• Empty trash receptacles regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste.
• Assist in restocking supplies such as utensils, napkins, and condiments as needed.
• Collaborate with the serving staff and kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and workflow.
• Provide assistance to guests as needed, such as answering questions or helping with special requests.
• Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist in other front-of-house or back-of-house duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a busser or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to provide exceptional service to guests.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Capacity to lift and carry trays of moderate weight.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
