Boiler Operator at a glance…
- Starting pay rate at $35.49 per hour
- Benefits begin 30 days after hire
- Weekly Rotating Shifts (Monday-Friday)
- +$1.00 shift premium for hours worked 6:00pm – 6:00am
- Perform all functions necessary to operate and maintain steam generating equipment and auxiliary equipment in accordance with applicable Federal, State and Local laws.
- Responsible for all maintenance, regulations, paperwork, chemical ordering, factory mutual insurance compliance, state inspection compliance, and any other pertinent operations requirements for the boiler room, and ammonia system.
- Perform all functions vital to operate, monitor and document plant’s refrigeration, air compressors, and powerhouse HVAC equipment in accordance with manufacturer and Kraft-Heinz specifications.
- Maintain, calibrate, and repair plant equipment such HVAC, refrigeration, plant utilities such as steam, water and electrical systems, electric motors and pumps. Install, calibrate, and trouble shoot steam systems, pumps, motors and any mechanical systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance to equipment, preservation and up-keep actions to assigned areas.
- Actively participate in team safety efforts to achieve/ exceed plant safety goals.
- Actively participating in continuous improvement efforts and compliance with established GMP’s and operating procedures.
- Assist in implementing QCMS and training of new associates
- High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Must possess a Minnesota State 1st Class B license or higher Boilers license.
- Experience in a boiler operator/powerhouse operator or equivalent role in a manufacturing industry
- Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills
